Pre course learning - Before the official weekly calls start you will have some pre course watching to do. The videos will take you through all the 'non-training' factors that will effect how successful your training efforts are. Things like health, diet, sleep, pain and more. We'll then discuss this all in the first call and we can talk about your individual dogs and how each one of these points may apply to them.

Week One - After introductions we'll recap the pre course learning and apply it to your dog. You can ask questions and get advice on all the topics covered at this stage. We'll also set up our group chats and make sure we are all in communication. Then I'll introduce your first weeks training task, building food motivation and a marker system.

Week Two - You've been busy with the weeks training tasks getting feedback as you go via the group chat. The call will start with a group round robin where we can discuss more in depth and troubleshoot anything more specifically. Then you'll get access to the next set of training videos on play and you'll set off to work on that for the week. 

Week Three - After a week of playing with your dog and your new perfected marker system you should be all set to get working on some new communication and skills. This will include a really good understanding of lead pressure and starting build up some good loose lead walking. As always the group round robin will make sure all your issues are ironed out as we add these training layers.

Week Four - Now you are cooking on gas. Your communication with your dog is coming along and you can feel the relationship changing. Now it's time to teach some new behaviours to help us cope with triggers in real time. We cover a few simple things, done well they form the foundations of your training toolkit going forward.

Week Five - We add some structure to what you are doing to allow you to practice your new training on some set up 'non-trigger' distractions. Basically we get both you and your dog practiced in similar situations so we can move you in to real life triggers with the best amount of success. Just like every call we go round the group, trouble shoot and discuss. You'll learn from everyone else too!

Day One - Once we've done the meet and greets we'll do our first training session. Dogs will work individually, so your dog will need to be able to stay in your vehicle while it's not their turn, so they can rest and you can learn from others. 

We'll do some 'non trigger' set ups so we can see where you are all at. I'll be able to give you some feedback individually and make those tiny little tweaks that can make all the difference to the speed your progress forward from here.

Then after a lunch break we will meet up for our first set up helper dog session. In a nice safe location and with a great team of calm helper dogs. So the first time you face your nemesis it will be under control and eyes on from me to make sure we get it right!

Day Two - Our second helper dog session in the morning to refine your skills and make sure your confidence is ready to head out in the 'real world' tomorrow. 

After lunch we will do individual sessions on whatever you would like to troubleshoot. It might be some of your reactivity toolkit behaviours or it might be something like play. The demo dog team will also be on hand for some more advanced play or behaviour demos if that suits the group.

Day Three - Let's get real, real life. We'll head out with the dogs for individual sessions in the real world. So my focus as a trainer is 100% with you and your dog in the moment. Real dogs in the real world - you handling it all in your stride!

Our afternoon session will be more of the same. As much time as possible with you practicing, implementing and improving your skills in the real world. Watch others and learn from the things that real life throws at them too.

Day Four - We'll head to a quieter location in the morning so that we can get your dogs walking together as a group. You'll learn how to introduce your dog to another dog properly to avoid them falling out and get some confidence walking around and with other dogs for a more prolonged period of time.

In the afternoon we'll put it all together with a group walk around a busier public park, handling reactivity as it comes and setting you up to go home with the confidence you need to actually turn your life with your dog around.

A weekly call for the next 4 weeks means your momentum will carry on once you get home. Like all dog training it's not a linear process, you may well hit snags when you get back on home turf as you and your dog get back in familiar behaviour patterns.

Cancellation policy - You may cancel for a full refund up to 14 days before the start of the video calls. If you have a personal circumstance that means you can't make the in person section of the course you will moved on the next available future date.

Where will my dog be when they aren't training? - Your dog needs to be able to rest or stay in your vehicle when they are not out having their turn. You are of course welcome to sit with them but you will lose out on the benefit of watching others. Having them able to safely stay in the boot or in a crate is the best solution.
