Are you and your terrier ready to recover from reactivity?
Join these coaching graduates and enjoy life with your dog again
Currently in charge of the neighbourhood arsehole?
Living with a reactive dog can really shrink your world, leave you embarrassed and at your wits end as to what do. Not only that you've probably been given a load of conflicting advice from anyone and everyone. Your neighbour frowns and says 'train your dog', like you hadn't already thought of that, as they stroll by with a perfectly behaved labrador, facebook groups will tell you 'it's just what terriers do' and whatever professional help you have had so far just hasn't helped.
If you'd like to change that you are in the right place. A trainer that lives with terriers and has walked the walk with her own less than perfect, reactive and aggressive dog and a supportive community of other people with terriers as you work towards the life you always wanted. Which is probably just to go for a simple walk without having them kick off and every other dog, person or fast moving kid on a scooter. Be reassured that it is possible and the Terrier School group coaching program has done this for multiple people and their dogs now. Just check the reviews!

Why Terrier School?
The day my Border Terrier Elvis decided he'd rather go and square up to and actively start a scrap with a Great Dane rather than coming to me and the tennis ball I was desperately squeaking to get his attention, I knew I had a problem.
I went on a quest for the best training, especially because by that point I was training myself to be a professional dog trainer! I was helping other people with their dogs successfully but couldn't break through with my own. Not a comfortable position to be in! After many many training courses, seminars and events I started to put together things that worked for Elvis. Working with him felt fundamentally different to more handler focussed breeds like gun dogs or herding types that were far more common in the training world. But with time, effort and a lot of patience we got where we needed to be and these days he mostly a reformed character. Although very much still a terrier! That journey became the basis of what is now Terrier School.
So after 6 years working as a generalist local dog trainer I knew where my heart was really at, as well as my real skillset in living and working with our very special little spicy terriers.
So welcome to Terrier School, dedicated to and for terriers and their people.
A few more testimonials
Meet the team
Cat
In theory the person in charge behind Terrier School, but anyone who has terriers knows that's rarely how it goes down.
Dog trainer, former soldier, communicator and problem solver. A sympathetic ear when you need it and shove in the right direction with some friendly motivation at the right time to.
Elvis
The reason we are all here! Never boring and in truth often a problem. The best teacher, disher out of humble pie and always ready for whatever we are doing.
Loving, loyal, full of drive for life and at times a little bit under confident. Would rather walk through fire than swim and considers bridges to be works of the devil. Play is life.
Beattie
Elvis sister from another mother and alltogether the most grounded and normal one of the trio. A true lover of life, not much gets her down.
Food and cuddles are top of lifes priority list, closely followed by a good game of tug and bark, which she can absolutely do at the same time. The demo dog every trainer hopes for.
