Hi I'm Cat
It doesn't take long to work out that being a dog trainer is way more about coaching people than dogs. It's my job to help you to teach your dog and that's where my life experience really helps. With a good chunk of life under my belt I get that there is more to living a great life with your dog than just teaching a sit and expecting you and your dog to conform to a set plan.
That became even clearer after getting my first terrier and running in to a whole host of behaviour issues including aggression, chasing wildlife for hours and constant excitement I had to literally become a professional trainer to gather all the knowledge I needed to help him.Â
With the majority of training being aimed at more handler focussed breeds like gun dogs and collies, terrier's are often passed off as untrainable or just 'like that' and you needed to put up with it. Well not on my watch!
